..not something I claim to understand. It's tricky, like that stupid fox from Dora da Explorah, and the Run DMC song. But we can neither tell it to simply "stop swiping" nor press pause, stop, rewind, or remix it to our liking.
I think I've had a brush with it, and even that was agonizing. In every struggle, there's a victor and a loser. Through media, children are trained to define love as the side of the former. The loser is usually brushed under the table in the falling action of any love story plot, and let's just say I have seen all the gum people have put on the underside. Chuck Palaniuk captures the challenge of "love" perfectly: "To be happy is to risk being completely cut open."
However, this guy also stated: "I sometimes wonder if humans are the alligators God flushed down the toilet."
Consider two famous romantic stories: The Notebook&Tale of Two Cities. Yes, by including the second I'm appealing to sophomores and up. It's okay, don't try to mark this because your parents will probably think "why the hell are they scratching up the computer?"
Beginning with The Notebook. The stereotype/classic romantic movie. Cliche Cliche Cliche. For those who haven't seen it, I'm about to spoil the story and you should go watch it before I continue. If you're on the computer on a saturday night, you probably have nothing better to do.
Alli Hamilton has a summer fling with Noah Calhoun. They fight, separate, and "fate" brings the two (archetype alert)star-crossed lovers together once more. Who paid attention in 9th grade english? When you think about the time, it's plausible that the two would meet once more. It was before the population skyrocketed in the so-called baby boom, and people usually stayed close to home and their families. Also, it's natural to come back to the place you were raised whether it be out of nostalgia or that your snooty rich parents had a HUGE summer home there.
Here is where the story mixes and matches reality with fantasy. Alli, with Noah out of the picture, meets Lan Hammond and marries him like some gold-digging hoochie mama. When she sees Noah's picture, she rushes back to his arms and they *ahem* fornicate. Now she's a cheating, gold-digging hoochie mama. But the audience eats it up anyway. In the end, she chooses to be with her first "love." But what about Lan? Poor guy probably went home and chugged down the menagerie of deadly cocktails under the sink. Or maybe decided to make a rope swing. For his neck. There was no happy ending for him, no fall-back. He put it all out there, and ultimately his world would be crushed.
Moving on to Tale of Two Cities. In this story, Sydney Carton was the designated loser. He had a good head on him, some real potential to become a lawyer. Welll, let's just say his "love" changed that (along with a one way ticket to the guillotine).
My point is, while "love" is perceived in usually a positive light, there is always a flipside. In both stories, both sides were covered but for some reason the Lan Hammond and Sydney Carton characters are considered supporting roles. This may be attributed to American culture, Disney movie values, etc. In any case, love is elusive and there will be more blogs to come as I learn more. Until then.

Ch ch ch ch changesss
It's been a while huh?
A lot has changed over the past year. I don't care much to list the changes, I'm rather lazy. I'll sum up me in a nutshell: I DANCE, I love fashion, I take fo toes fo sho, I skim, I care too much, I listen to 2Pac&Snoop Dogg, I envy Mike Song's skillzz, and I adore Elsie Cheang (:
And currently, I have plans with Jessica Lauer. She's a mega hottie ;]
I'm not sure why I even blog anymore. It seems rather vulnerable, to put my thoughts and day to day activity on the World Wide Web for sexual predators, rapers(yes rapers, not rapists.), creepers, lurkers, and pretty much everyone to see. But whatevs, I say bring em on. Life's a risk, and it's damn fun that way.
To say it's time for a new beginning would be cliche. So instead: to fill in from when the pages stopped turning. or scrolling, since this isss a web blog.

Movie Quotes & Resolutions: Two Zero Zero Nine
Ahhhh New Years.
Time for a tune up.
I think a lot of stuff went wrong 20 o' 8.
"It's only once you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything."
I have a few character flaws, I know.
But it's a new year, with a new look, friends,
but old habits & tendencies.
Let's get a fresh start.
Time to break free.
"He was like a rocket breaking free of Earth's gravty. Nothing could touch him. Stop him."
